TCN is proud to announce that we are now part of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a United States-based suicide prevention network of over 160 crisis centers providing 24/7 service via a toll-free hotline with the number 1-800-273-8255. It is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
Currently we are providing this coverage M-F between 8 am – 4:30 pm in Logan, Champaign and Greene Counties. We hope to expand our coverage to include Clark and Madison counties as well as move towards 24/7 coverage by July of 2022.
TCN’s initial involvement in the Lifeline came through the Zero Suicide Initiative, which is a grant-funded project. If you are interested in joining our dedicated staff working the Lifeline, watch for upcoming posts regarding open positions.
