Meet Our Leadership Team
Lori A. Strobl is the CEO of TCN Behavioral Health, where she utilizes her proactive and visionary approach to make corporate decisions and oversee agency operations. Lori is also a licensed active attorney in the State of Ohio, and has held this designation since 2001. Her hands on leadership style motivates and develops the best attributes in employees. Her client focused approach and communication skills guide the agency strategically to achieve its mission and vision.
Lori attended the University of Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy in May 1997. She earned her Juris Doctorate from University of Dayton School of Law in May 2000.
Prior to joining TCN, Lori was the owner and civil law attorney of a thriving law practice with a focus on business and employment law. It is here where Lori cultivated her relationship with TCN as outside legal counsel for over a decade. Lori also developed, implemented and taught Sinclair Community College’s Employment Law program for Paralegals as an adjunct professor where she also taught employment discrimination, business law, and estates.
She accepted a position in house with TCN as the Vice President of HR/Legal Services in 2015. Her areas of responsibilities included: Legal, Human Resources, Facilities and Support. Lori held this position until becoming CEO in September 2017.
Lori’s passion for health and wellness led her to become a certified yoga instructor in June 2020.
In her spare time Lori enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, cooking, music, writing, being a foodie, and traveling.
Tom is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory endorsement and has 30 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field. In addition to his LPCC-S licensure, Tom is a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist. Tom’s expertise is in administrative leadership and leader development.
Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has a Master’s in Education from the University of Dayton. Tom spent an additional year pursuing his independent license at UD as well.
Prior to joining TCN in 1998, Tom worked at Eastway as a Case Manager as well as Montgomery County Juvenile Court and St. Joseph’s Treatment Center for Youth.
While at TCN, Tom has held various leadership positions including Director of Community Support Services, Director of Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services, and Director of Youth Services. Additionally, Tom was a youth and adult counselor at the beginning of his career with TCN. Tom’s current position as Associate CEO provides business guidance and oversight of clinical operations as well as developing TCN leaders.
Tom lives with his wife and two young children in Beavercreek. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching his son's basketball team and attending his daughter's dance performances.
Tom has five brothers and one sister with one of those siblings being his identical twin brother!
Lambi Gersos, J.D., is Chief Administrative Officer at TCN Behavioral Health Services, Inc., overseeing all non-clinical aspects of call center support services and quality assurance as well as facilities. Previously, Lambi served TCN as Director of Operations.
He is committed to the mission and vision of TCN by providing clinically excellent care for our clients and ensuring that TCN has the best facilities possible. He values working on a wide array of projects that improve the lives of TCN’s employees and clients. His focus is on identifying opportunities for process improvement and developing new efficiency strategies.
Prior to working at TCN, Lambi was employed at LexisNexis for 14 years, serving as Team Leader, Team Support Leader, and Manager in Customer Support.
Lambi holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Business Administration, both from Wright State University, and a Juris Doctor from University of Dayton.
In his spare time, Lambi enjoys yoga, traveling, chess, and photography.
Julie Ayers serves as Chief Operations Officer at TCN Behavioral Health Services, Inc., and has been with TCN since 2002.
She manages the use of Information Technology to exceed the expectations of the agency’s staff, clients, and stakeholders. She serves as the lead for coordinating and managing the various functions within office of the Chief Operations Officer.
Julie, along with her team of six, work collaboratively to analyze data, implement agency-wide database systems, provide a secure and stable network, adhere to HIPAA privacy guidelines, confidentiality guidelines (42 CFR Part 2), and stay updated on IT trends and emerging technologies. Julie coordinates functions with the Senior Administration team regarding IT, information management, information assurance, and IT strategies and processes that support the mission of the agency.
Chris Pinkelman, M.Ed., LPCC, LICDC, serves as Chief Development Officer for TCN Behavioral Health Services, Inc., where he has been employed since July 1996.
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in June 1991 and a Master's of Education in June 1993 at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Chris received his Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor status in 1996 and his Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor status in 1997.
He has worked in the field of Substance Abuse/Addiction & Mental Health since 1992, initially serving as an Intern at Bassett House, an Adolescent Residential Treatment Center. Bassett House brought Chris permanently on board in 1993 where he served as a substance abuse/mental health counselor until 1996. Since that time, he has served TCN as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and Mental Health Counselor, Director of Alcohol/Drug Services (AOD), Director of Mental Health and AOD, Associate Director of Clinical Services, and Chief Clinical Officer before taking on his current role of Chief Development Officer.
Chris is an avid outdoorsman who likes to find ways to live life to the fullest and challenge himself. He is blessed to be called a husband, a father, and grandfather, and that he is given a daily opportunity to serve others.
Dr. Esam Alkhawaga serves as Chief Medical Officer at TCN Behavioral Health Services, Inc. He received his M.D. from Tanta University College of Medicine in Egypt where he completed his residency in Neurology and Psychiatry. He practiced neurology before switching his career to the field of psychiatry, with a particular emphasis on biological psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.
Upon arriving in the US in 1995, Dr. Alkhawaga completed his US residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and provided services as the Director of the Mood Disorder Program at the VCU Health System.
After relocating to the Dayton area in 2006, he joined TCN and also worked on the inpatient psychiatric unit at Greene Memorial Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital until 2017. In January 2018, Dr. Alkhawaga left TCN and joined the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center to serve veterans on the inpatient psychiatric unit. Dr. Alkhawaga came back on board at TCN in April 2021.
Dr. Alkhawaga holds a current faculty academic position as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Wright State University where he continues to teach and train residents and medical students. He has received multiple teaching awards from the Medical College of Virginia and Wright State University Medical School, as well as the Nancy Roeske Teaching Award from the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Alkhawaga has special interest in severe mood and psychotic disorders and their treatment.
